Halloween Card for a Friend

Trick or treat, by link. Hide a photo and a short spooky note inside a surprise egg, a scratch card or a sheet of bubble wrap, and send it to a friend, a coworker, or a kid who is too far away to knock on your door on October 31.

For the friend who takes Halloween more seriously than their birthday: a treat they crack open on their phone, with your costume photo and the pun you have been saving all year.

Questions

What should I write in a Halloween card?

Keep it short and silly: one pun, one wish for a good candy haul, and your name. For kids, add a photo of you in costume. Our Halloween messages guide has 25 lines to start from.

Is it too scary for kids?

No. The reveals are playful: an egg that cracks, foil they scratch off, bubbles they pop. Nothing jumps out, and nothing plays until they tap. A parent can open it with them from the same link.

Can I send it to a kid who lives far away?

Yes. It is a link, so it opens on any phone or tablet with no app or account. Text it to a parent and they can open it together on Halloween.

Can it arrive on Halloween by itself?

Not automatically: you share the link yourself. You can seal the card with an unlock time, so even if you send it early it stays locked with a countdown until October 31.

Is it free, and how long does the link last?

Free to make, send and open, with no signup on either side. A card with a photo is deleted 30 days after creation; without a photo, after 60 days.
